Cycling, mountain biking, water sports, golf, quad biking and horse riding are all available locally and Kielder Forest Park and Water is a must destination for outdoor all enthusiasts. You can drive the 12 miles from Byrness to Kielder along the Forest Drive – there is a toll to pay and the road can be rough – but it is provides a direct route to Kielder Castle and the views are superb.
Cycling: Endless quiet roads and tracks including an extensive network of off road tracks and a 27 mile multi-user track at Kielder suitable for all the family

Water sports: Kielder Reservoir is the largest man-made lake in Northern Europe. You can take a trip on ‘The Osprey’ ferry or try your hand at a number of water sports including canoeing, sailing, wind surfing, water skiing and fishing.
