Old School House Northumberland Holiday Cottage

Old School House sleeps four and is a delightfully cosy stone built self-catering cottage surrounded by the forests and wild open moorlands of the Northumberland National Park’s western border. Kielder Water and Forest Park was awarded Gold Tier Dark Sky Park status in 2013 in recognition of its low levels of light pollution, bright starry night skies and unspoilt landscapes. Visitors to The Old School House have all this on their doorstep. Well behaved dogs (max 2) accepted, £10 per pet.

Nestling under Byrness Hill, with a view from the rear garden over the rooftop into Redesdale Forest, it lies at the head of a secluded private drive with gardens on all sides. The Pennine Way passes the front door of the cottage and paths through the trees, where deer and red squirrels abound, lead to riverside and hill walks.

We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely holiday cottage.
